Shortcross Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey
5 Year Old | 46% ABV
Sweet smoke. Rich character. Beautifully balanced.
Discover the distinctive character of Shortcross Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey, an exceptional five-year-old expression crafted at Rademon Estate Distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland.
Double distilled in traditional copper pot stills, including one of the smallest whiskey stills on the island of Ireland, this remarkable single malt brings together gentle peat smoke, rich sweetness and beautifully layered flavours.
Crafted using peated malted barley with a phenol level of 55ppm at mashing, the whiskey is matured for five years in a combination of air-seasoned Virgin American Oak and first-fill ex-Bourbon casks.
The result is a beautifully balanced Irish whiskey, where delicate waves of chocolatey peat smoke meet honeyed malt, orchard fruits, chewy toffee and warming spices.
Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and presented in its natural colour, allowing the whiskey's authentic character to shine through.
Awarded 93 points by Whisky Advocate.
